Adoption Process

*We are by appointment only and have no open hours. Appointments are scheduled with an approved application only*

• Find a cat you are interested in on Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or our social media
• Fill out an application here on our website
• Allow 2 to 3 business days for us to process your application - applications will not be responded to on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.
• Phone Interview
• Schedule meet and greet
• Complete adoption paperwork

The Johnson County Community Cats is a 100% volunteer run organization, this means it may take us some time to get to your inquiries or applications. Please allow us 2 to 3 business days to contact you - depending on the number of applications we have to process, this wait time may be longer.

With the exception of the phone interview, all contact regarding your adoption will be made via email.
